Example of overestimation of effectiveness. Osteopathic manipulation evidences an almost identical response rate as the upper bound of multiple impulse treatment but would be judged to be less effective because approximately 90% of the patients treated with osteopathic manipulation responded “in the long run” whereas 100% of the patients treated with multiple impulse therapy responded to the therapy.
